Relief Valve protects the piping system and other armatures by quickly evacuating the excess pressure that may occur in the mains pressure to the atmosphere. Relief control valves keep the pressure in the system constant regardless of flow rate changes. The control mechanism of the relief pilot valve opens quickly to keep the system pressure constant when the flow of the system decreases. When the system pressure drops to the value set by the valve, it closes without causing a shock.
