OS&Y Gate Valve | Y-4040 are defined as zone control valves. They are used as shut-off valves on water supply lines in order to separate (control) the zones within the zone. Butterfly valves or rising stem valves are used for shut-off or control purposes. Rising stem valves are gate valves that do not disturb the smooth flow in the fully open position, whose open position can be visually monitored by the up and down movement of the shaft, and electrical monitoring can be done by installing a monitoring switch. They create less hydraulic loss compared to butterfly valves.
