Let's get to know our International Sales Director, Hüseyin Gümrükçü!

Reach the full interview of our International Sales Director Hüseyin Gümrükçü, describing his contributions to Duyar within his 20 years of effort and his journey from product to solution.

Can you briefly tell about yourself? How did your paths cross with Duyar?

I am Hüseyin Gümrükçü; I was born in 1977 and graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1998. I have a Master's degree in Fluid Mechanics.

I joined Duyar in 2003, and currently I completed my 20th year now. After working in the company's several different departments, such as Production, Domestic Sales, After-Sales Services, Product Management, R&D Management, and Export Regional Management, I am currently the International Sales Director.

I am also a Member of the Board of Directors of EFSN (European Fore Sprinkler Network), IFSA (International Fire Suppression Alliance), and FM Approvals Advisory Council.

I actively use English and Russian languages in my work. I am married and I have two children.

How do you create value for customers?

For Heating, Cooling, Balancing, Plumbing, and Fire Protection applications, We offer our customers high-quality, affordable cost, and internationally certified products and services.

With nearly 60 years of production experience in casting valves, Duyar has been offering quality and internationally certified products to the fire protection sector with the valves and fire sprinklers for the last ten years and has increased its brand awareness worldwide in this process.

As it is the only brand that produces FM and UL certified products in the middle of the wide geography between Western Europe and the Far East, we are assertive in being a suitable alternative to our customers and providing a logistics advantage.

What is your promise to the customer? Also, can you talk a little bit about Art of Flow?

While presenting our products and services, we provide our products and services according to the A.R.T. philosophy. A: Accessible, R: Responsive, T: Trusted.

Nowadays, where sustainability in the supply chain is important, customers need reliable brands, which they can reach and get answers at any time, sensitive to their work and the value they offer.

With this awareness, to make our products and services accessible and sustainable trade and after-sales services, We work with the philosophy of “A.R.T. of Flow.”

What would you advise industry players to do their jobs more efficiently?

While the diversity of suppliers is increasing rapidly, the necessity of having quality and international certifications is gaining importance. I advise other manufacturers and product providers in the industry to take advantage of the geographical location of our country and the technological abilities it has reached in producing technical products and to develop value-added products with brave. Increasing marketing investments to create a brand and increase awareness is another necessary condition for international success.

Could you give some information about Duyar World Cafe?

With the Local Touch Events we will hold in Abu Dhabi and Dubai cities of the United Arab Emirates in May 2023, we designed sectoral meetings, especially targeting mechanical contractors and project consultancy firms. We will continue our activities with the Qatar / Doha event that we will hold in the autumn months. In these events, which represent a new approach in our marketing efforts, we will try to introduce the value we offer along with innovations in the mechanical installation and fire protection sectors. We plan to continue these activities, which we started in the Middle East region, with different countries from different regions as of 2024.
